26 teachers from 15 schools across the country visited their partner schools in Malawi in the autumn half term.
The schools in Malawi were not on holiday at the time, allowing the teachers to see the lessons at first hand and to share with the staff and pupils at their link schools.
The head of education in Malawi, Gabriel Chamdimba, greeted the UK teachers in Salima.
He spoke about the difference linking had made in the development of education. Linked schools substantially outperformed other schools in attainment and exam success. He stressed the impact that the visitors made to teaching in Malawi and looked forward to coming to the UK in March, 2012.
