Over 20 hand knitted blankets of superb quality are on their way to Malawi thanks to the ladies of St Peter and St Paul Church. Teston.
Following a huge response to a request for knitted squares two of the ladies from the Teas 'n Crafters group have made cosy and colourful blankets which will give warmth and comfort to orphaned children
during the chilly winter nights and mornings in Malawi.
They skillfully join the squares and edge the blankets with crochet stitch. One lady, who is in her 80's, also makes the squares as well as joining and edging!
The treasured blankets, which are wisely distributed, are welcomed with joy in Malawi.
In addition to this we have received delightful jumpers, hats and scarves for the children which will also protect them against the winter chills.
On behalf of the children that we seek to help we send our grateful thanks to the ladies of Teston.
