Christian Resource Libraries

“more precious than gold, than much pure gold;
they are sweeter than honey”

Psalm 19:10

We have an excellent selection of Christian books donated by the UK and provide free internet access. Satellite nurseries have expanded the work across the Salima District and into Lilongwe.

Resource Library

Generously supported by Sovereign World Trust, the libraries confirm that God’s word is “more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey.” (Psalm 19; 10).

“Books are the blessed chloroform of the mind.”
— Oswald Chambers

Under the leadership of Bornwell we have 11 centres: Salima, Area 25 Lilongwe, Mvera, Chezi, Chipoka, Siyasiya, Thavite, Sengabay, Mtakataka, Mponera and Ngodzi.

We provide each centre with instruction about how to run a library successfully. Books are loaned for a given period, which is strictly adhered to.

We ask for the members of the libraries to be ratified by their church leadership, which enables us to keep control over membership.

As you will see from the newsletters the library has become a focus of discussion and dialogue about Christian matters,
which has stimulated better understanding of issues affecting all people.

Our Christian Practice

Paul wrote, “The Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

Helping men and women, boys and girls to understand God’s word and applying it to lives is a precious gift! Drawing upon the godly heritage of men and women of God, the library allows hundreds of pastors to explore the treasures of God’s word and to fathom the depths of God’s grace through the writings and experiences of others.
